Wellington Girl Geek Dinners are informal get-togethers, including dinner, drinks, and talks on 'geeky' topics. We aim for a welcoming atmosphere and a way in which to learn in an informal environment, to make technology accessible and to be of interest to all age groups and all people, particularly women. It is an opportunity for like-minded ‘girls’ to talk about technology over food and drinks. Men may attend, but only as an invited guest of a woman. This intentionally creates a gender imbalance towards women, which is unusual in the tech world.

What if I'm not geeky enough?

You don't have to be classed as a 'geek' to attend. Our philosophy is that if you love good food, good company and great speakers; you'll love Girl Geek Dinners.
